Needs analysis plays an important role in the MHP-Handbook project. Within the context of the project the German partner, Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (BAuA), conducted a focus group discussion and carried out interviews to gather the opinions of experts and designated users. Every partner strongly emphasized the increasing problems of mental distress and psychosocial hazards in the workplace and the negative influences this can have on the performance of the workforce.
