URL: http://promocjazdrowiawpracy.pl/The National Centre for Workplace Health Promotion (NCWHP) is located within the structures of the Nofer Institute of Occupational Medicine – NIOM (Łódź, Poland).
NCWHP, functioning within the structures of NIOM, was established in 1996. It consists of an interdisciplinary team of researchers and implementers who had launched its activities ten years earlier (in the mid-eighties) in a field of sociology of health and medicine. Currently it was enlarged with other disciplines mostly public health, political science and pedagogy.
The Centre is a unique scientific and implantation institution in Poland which from the beginning of the 90’s of XX century carries out in a complex and systematic way research and analysis of status and conditions of workplace health promotion in Poland as well as makes use of these data for the purpose of practice.

Jest to czołowy w Polsce ośrodek badawczo-wdrożeniowy zajmujący się upowszechnianiem koncepcji promocji zdrowia w sferze pracy, badaniem uwarunkowań przebiegu i efektów tego procesu oraz konsultowaniem i wdrażaniem zakładowych programów prozdrowotnych. Funkcjonuje od 1 grudnia 1996 r. w Instytucie Medycyny Pracy im. prof. dra hab. med. J. Nofera w Łodzi.
Tworzy je interdyscyplinarny zespół, w którego skład wchodzą socjologowie, psychologowie, jak również pedagodzy, specjaliści zdrowia publicznego oraz lekarz. Centrum korzysta również z bogatego zaplecza naukowego innych działów Instytutu. W swoim dorobku posiada projekty sfinansowane przez Europejski Bank Odbudowy i Rozwoju, światową Organizację Zdrowia, Komitet Badań Naukowych oraz wykonane w ramach Strategicznych Programów Rządowych.
