Welcome to the ProMenPol Website
This is the website of the ProMenPol project which aims to support the practices and policies of mental health promotion over the 2006-2009 period in three settings: schools, workplaces and older people’s residences.
To do so, ProMenPol is producing the following services and outputs which are all now available:
- Tools Database
- Field trials
- Policy Workshops
- Practictioners Conferences
- ProMenPol Toolkit
- Forums
The Future of ProMenPol
We are coming to the stage of the project when we must consider what will happen when the project finishes in December 2009. Feedback from various sources to date indicates that many of you would like to see the project continue in some form – it is our task to consider how that might be achieved.
In the Issue of the April Newsletter we propose two ways in which this might be done. The first concerns setting up a Mental Health Promotion Network while the second (and these are not exclusive options) involves setting up an online journal.
In the questionnaire attached to the April Newsletter, you will find a number of questions which address these issues. We would be grateful if you could complete this questionnaire, save it and and send it by e-mail to: Richard Wynne, Work Research Centre.
How Can I Get Involved in the ProMenPol Field Trials?
You can carry out a field trial in 3 possible ways:
- TYPE 1: Testing and assessing the ProMenPol Online Database on mental health promotion tools and documenting the toolset’s utility, functionality and practicality for your organisation. Click here to participate in Type 1 Field Trials - Upon completion please send your questionnaire response to Gert Lang.
- TYPE 2: Testing and assessing the ProMenPol Online Database on mental health promotion tools and documenting the toolset’s utility, functionality and practicality for your organisation. Plus choosing one (or more) tool from the Online Database , implementing it in your organisation and reporting on its utility and practicality for your organisation.
- TYPE 3: Reporting on a tool already in use by the organisation in the course of an existing initiative and reporting on its utility and practicality.
If you are interested in participating in the ProMenPol field trials, download the Expression of Interest Form
A manual supporting the implementation of ProMenPol field trials is also available.
