  • Nordic Tour 2011: Mental Health and Work - Can we Improve Return to Work and Retention for Employees with Mental Health Problems?

    Each of the 5 1-day seminar in each of the Nordic countries will (i) update the current knowledge about antecedents and consequences of mental health in the labour market, (ii) give recommendations on interventions with the purpose of improving the return to work among employees with mental health problems and (iii) ) introduce country situations and strategies, as well as best practices of return to work. The aim is to share experiences and to improve the Nordic collaboration and networking in Return to Work matters.

    The relationship between culture, health and well-being is extremely diverse. Culture, health and well-being are all crucial elements of the complex, extending from medicine and health promotion to broad cultural aspects of creativity and social well-being. The aims of this congress are to (1) explore the link between culture, health and well-being, (2) identify methodological possibilities of the field, (3) consider what constitutes well-being, healthy life, and happiness, (4) share best practices involving culture and health to improve well-being and (5) promote Artists` health and well-being.

    The workshop with multi-disciplinary approaches will give a platform for discussion on:
    The present state of flexicurity as a policy agenda and as a scientific concept,
    The work related health and well-being issues in European and global context,
    The potentialities of flexicurity practices to moderate the harmful consequences of job insecurity,
    The role of gender structures in the situation where the security at work is frequently impugn and flexicurity is launched as a solution,
    The feasibility of flexicurity under the permanently unstable global economy and different (welfare state) regimes.

  • 3rd European Conference on Child and Adolescent Mental Health in Educational Settings

    Following the first conference in Paris (September 2005) and the second in Naples (November 2009), this is the third European conference organised on the theme of Child and Adolescent Mental Health in Schools. The conference will provide a forum for education and mental health professionals to share practice, research and new ideas and to review the impact of current changes in the direction of health and education policies.
